Teamly is a platform designed for college students to connect with peers, form sports teams, schedule matches, and participate in organized games within their verified college network.

We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve the App.
Account Credentials
- Email address and password (used for email/password authentication)
- Your official college email address — used for OTP verification of your college identity
Personal Profile Information
- Full name
- Age
- City of residence
- Gender
- Preferred sport(s) and current athletic ability level
- Profile picture (captured or selected using your device camera or gallery)
Verification Data
- One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your college email to verify identity and institutional affiliation
User-Generated Content
- Match posts, availability slots, and schedules you create
- Friend requests, team memberships, and match participation records
- Team chat messages within the App
Automatically Collected Technical Data
- Device type and operating system
- App usage and interaction data
- Error logs and performance metrics
How We Use Your Information
- Create and manage your user account
- Verify your college identity through OTP authentication
- Display your profile to verified peers within your college network
- Enable match scheduling, team formation, and venue coordination
- Support community features including the main feed, filtering, and friend requests
- Assess and display skill and reliability ratings on user profiles
- Maintain app performance, security, and prevent misuse

Camera & Device Permissions
Teamly requests access to your device camera solely to allow you to take or upload a profile picture. Camera access is used only when you explicitly choose to set or update your photo.
We do not access your camera in the background or for any other purpose.
OTP Verification
To ensure only verified college students access the platform, Teamly sends a One-Time Password (OTP) to your official college email address during registration. This OTP is used exclusively to verify your identity and college affiliation.
Legal Basis for Processing

- Legitimate interests (app security, improvement, and community safety)
- Legal obligations
Data Storage & Security
User data may be stored securely on cloud servers. We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
No digital system is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
In the event of a confirmed data breach affecting personal data, Teamly will take reasonable steps to notify affected users where required by applicable law.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data only as long as necessary to operate the App. Teamly provides an in-app account deletion option, allowing you to permanently delete your account and associated data directly from within the App.
You may also submit a deletion request by contacting us at the email address below.
Upon account deletion
- All personal data including name, email, age, gender, city, and profile picture is permanently deleted
- Match history, team memberships, and community posts are removed or anonymized
- Deleted data is not retained, except minimal technical logs required for security or legal compliance
Children's Privacy
Teamly is designed for college students and is intended for users who are 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under this age.
If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information without appropriate consent, we will take steps to remove that information. Please contact us if you believe this has occurred.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell or share your personal information, except in the following circumstances:
- With cloud infrastructure providers who store and process data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations
- When required by law, court order, or legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of Teamly, its users, or the public
Community Content
Your profile — including your name, preferred sports, skill level, and reliability score — may be visible to other verified users within your college network.
Match posts and availability details shared in the feed are visible to peers in your network.
You retain ownership of content you create on Teamly. We do not use your content for commercial purposes.
Your Rights
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time (by deleting your account)
- Request data portability where applicable

By downloading, installing, or using the Teamly mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Eligibility
Teamly is intended for college students aged 17 and above. By using the App, you confirm that you are currently enrolled in a college or university and have a valid institutional email address.
Users under the applicable age of digital consent in their region must have parental or guardian consent to use the App.
Accounts
To access Teamly, you must create an account using your email and password, and verify your college identity via OTP sent to your official college email. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You may not share your account or impersonate another user. Teamly reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
User Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create on Teamly, including match posts, team details, and chat messages. By posting content to the community or feed, you grant Teamly a limited, non-exclusive license to display that content within the App for other users.
You are solely responsible for the content you share. Do not post content that is offensive, misleading, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate.
Intellectual Property
All elements of the App — including interface, branding, underlying technology, and non-user-generated content — are the intellectual property of Teamly and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of App content without our prior written permission.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Post harmful, offensive, or infringing content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the App
- Interfere with other users' access or experience
- Use automated tools or bots to access the App
- Misrepresent your identity or college affiliation
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent termination.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Teamly does not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities.
To the extent permitted by law, Teamly is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
You may delete your account at any time from within the App or by contacting us.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted within the App and become effective upon posting. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
